Summer 2013 – Acrylics & Mixed Media Workshops – Exploring Spontaneous Realism
Due to popular demand this round of acrylics & mixed media workshops during the summer in June / July will be examining some of the techniques and experimenting with Spontaneous Realism and taking look at the work of artists such as VOKA and Francois Neilly.

June: 13th, 20th, 27th July 11th, 18th, 25th
This session of classes will focus on: 1) Method of paint application 2) Use of colour 3) Composition
VOKA painting New York Scene
Although the workshops won’t be working on such a large scale as VOKA it will take you through some of the methods and techniques being used along with some additional twists incorporating the use of acrylic mediums such as gels & pastes and acrylic inks! It will also take a look at combining Acrylics with Oils. For the first three sessions it will include work on an urban / townscape or landscape and for the last three it will take another look at figurative or portraiture using this style. Course includes expert tuition and all artist quality materials are provided. Please bring relevant references to work from for each of these sessions. To book on this six week course payment of £75 (£12.50 pp per session inc. materials) will be needed in advance and full payment will be due on the first session on 13th June. Cash is preferred however cheques or bank transfers are also acceptable. All tools and equipment will be provided and included in price. Also free to bring your own materials or photos to use at the workshops. Tea and Coffee provided FREE on site. Please book in advance to guarantee a place.
